Oh, life. Life can be busy, crazy, hectic and it often leaves us with not quite enough time to get it all done. Whether you're married, have kids, a single parent, or just a self-employed jet setter like myself, I think that we can all agree that those 24 hours in the day?
They're not enough. I grew up without the internet...without CELL PHONES...let alone smart phones. When the first smart phones hit the market (to my knowledge) in 2006, I jumped aboard! Anything to make my life easier, you know? As technology has grown and advanced, I have become increasingly dependent on my smart phone apps to help me live a less-stressful life.
Need to pay a bill? There's an app for that. Need to schedule a doctor's appointment? There's an app for that. Do you need to buy groceries, but are too busy doing a million things to run to the store? THERE IS AN APP FOR THAT. It's called Shipt. It's also available as a regular website and works the same, but you know I love my apps!
Shipt is a membership-based online grocery marketplace delivering fresh foods and household essentials through a community of shoppers and a convenient app. Shipt offers quality, personalized grocery delivery to members for $99 per year, and is available to over 30 million households in more than 70 markets across the country.
We've had Shipt in Miami for a bit now, and it has changed my life. You have so many options for stores via the Shipt app, and it is just so dang convenient! Through Shipt’s mobile or desktop app, you can browse through a full selection of grocery items available at your local grocery store and choose a convenient one-hour delivery window.
A Shipt Shopper visits the local store to hand pick and deliver the items to you as soon as one hour after the order. Shipt is now expanding to include Target, and I placed an order last week using the service - it was great! I needed to make a quick lunch for Angeline and I, but I was so busy working on projects that I didn't have time to run to the store.
You use the app - or their website - and select a store, select your items, and BOOM: someone goes shopping for you and brings you your things.
One of the things that I really like about Shipt is the customer service with their shoppers is amazing! My shopper was in constant contact with me as she shopped for my items at Target.
Unlike some delivery services, Shipt really takes care of their shoppers, which makes me very, very happy. Shipt shoppers go through an application process, interview process, and background check. On average, Shipt Shoppers make up to $25 per hour! Isn't that amazing?!
It's no wonder the service is so great, Shipt really makes sure they hire the right people and treat them well. I love a company that understands the importance of treating their employees well - it makes me like the brand more!
Now for the food...
I made a really easy Pizza Stuffed Peppers recipe. We wanted something tasty and filling, but it was such a busy day, and this recipe was quick and easy!
Pizza Stuffed Peppers Recipe
Ingredients
- Peppers - Red, Green, Yellow, Orange - whatever type YOU like
- Ricotta Cheese
- Mozzarella Cheese
- Pepperoni (either the regular size or mini pepperoni)
- Marinara sauce or pizza sauce - your choice! I used marinara like I would for spaghetti because that was the flavor I personally prefer
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Cut the peppers in half and scoop out the seeds OR, for a larger serving, just cut off the top of the pepper so you have a larger "boat" for your fillings.
There aren't any exact measurements to this recipe because it's really about your personal preference for each ingredient. I added 4 teaspoons of ricotta cheese as the base, then 2 teaspoons of marinara on top, 4 pepperonis and a sprinkling of mozzarella cheese.
Bake for 30 minutes, or until the peppers have cooked and the cheese is melted and bubbly! You may have to adjust the timing depending on the ingredients you've used, so I suggest checking on them after 20 minutes and adjusting cooking time accordingly.
This is such a tasty recipe and it was made incredibly stress-free by being able to use Shipt to get my groceries from my local Target! You can sign up for Shipt on Shipt.com or download the Shipt app for iTunes or Android. HAPPY SHOPPING!

Going to the grocery store is an errand I don't actually mind doing. However, there's just not enough time in a day to do it all. Shipt sounds like a miracle service for busy families.
