Ask any seasoned businessperson, and they’ll tell you one thing for a fact. Being a great entrepreneur involves being accountable and handling a diverse range of responsibilities. It means wearing tons of different hats.

Any successful entrepreneur or company CEO will also tell you that staff is an organization’s greatest asset. Without a happy and energetic team of employees in various departments, productivity could dwindle, taking down the business’s profitability with it over time.

Unsurprisingly so, one of the best ways to keep your employees healthy and motivated in the workplace is to make them feel appreciated! From rewarding impeccable performance to birthday gifts and having fun times together, here are a few ways you can make your staff feel more appreciated.

A Healthy and Motivational Workplace: Ways to Make Your Staff Feel Appreciated

    1. Send Them Gifts to Show You Appreciate Their Hard Work

Nothing can boost an employee’s morale better than receiving a gift from the employer. It shows that the boss recognizes and appreciates their efforts and that they matter in the company’s wellbeing. Well, employee gifts can be anything from a personalized mug to an office coffee maker, a new ergonomic workspace, a salary raise, or even a weekend vacation fully paid by the business.

The downside is that with so many options to choose from, it can be a little confusing to make a great pick. A recent article on Bouqs highlights some of the best gifts to give employees, so you don’t have to scratch your head or spend so much time researching.

    2. Have Events like Christmas or End of Year Party

Another way to show appreciation for your employees is to have a fun party for them, with staff outings, get-togethers, and office decorations. Having an end-of-year party or a summer party can be a lot of fun for staff, bringing them together with the team and helping them bond and get to know each other better.

    3. Recognize and Reward Great Performers

Another great way to show your staff appreciation is to recognize and reward stellar performance. A recent study published by Frontiers actually found that rewarding employees can have a significant positive impact on their motivation and performance at work.

This means paying attention to the good work your workers do in different areas of the business, so you can acknowledge their accomplishments and reward them accordingly.

    4. Acknowledge Milestone Work Anniversaries

Celebrating milestones like a year, month, or even a week of work at the office can make an employee feel special and valued. You could also encourage them to have a celebration for the company, by making a party or potluck meal for them, along with simple fun games and prizes. This could even include a small gift for each staff member, such as a new speaker or cushion they need to rest on at work.

    5. Provide a Healthy and Comfortable Workspace

From ergonomic chairs and desks to stylish office equipment, creating a healthy and comfortable workplace can be just as important for your employees as it is for your business. They need to be comfortable enough to concentrate and feel at home at the same time. You can buy sit stand desks for sale online for a healthier workspace for your employees.

Always make sure the workplace is clean, well-aerated, and free from hazardous substances. This will help them have better focus at work and stay motivated. While at it, ensure that your employees have access to the right technology, equipment, and facilities for their workspace.

The key takeaway is to make the workplace a healthy and motivating environment for your workers.

Encouraging your employees to give their best and do their best at work will definitely show that you care about them and their welfare. Your employees will look forward to coming to work each day to contribute to the growth and success of your business. The above tips will go a long way in ensuring just this.
