Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 package 1 oz, taco seasoning
  • cup water
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or taco cheese
  • 2 cans 8 oz each, refrigerated crescent rolls
  • shredded lettuce
  • chopped tomato
  • sour cream
  • salsa

Instructions

  • Add beef to a large skillet and heat over medium heat, stirring frequently and breaking apart beef until browned. Drain grease and return to the pan. Add taco seasoning and water and continue to cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until hot, bubbly and the majority of the liquid is reduced, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand to cool slightly.
  • Preheat oven to 375 and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Lay out your triangles for the taco ring. The hole in the center should be about 4-5" in diameter. The easiest way to lay our your crescent roll triangles is like a clock. Begin by placing rolls at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock. Add a second set of crescent rolls in between each of the other crescent rolls, and finally, add another set of crescent rolls between each roll on the baking sheet,. Gently press the rolls together to form the star shape ring.
  • Now. that the beef is cooler, stir in the cheese until combined well. Spoon beef onto the crescent ring and carefully tuck the ends around and under the inside of the ring. Some of the beef mixture may be showing and that's fine.
  • Bake for 20-22 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and let stand for five minutes before adding shredded lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream and salsa into the center and serving.
