- 5 large sweet potatoes peeled and sliced into ⅛" rounds
- 1-½ cups apple sauce
- ⅔ cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ½ cup chopped pecans optional
Add the sweet potatoes into the slow cooker.
Next, in a separate bowl, combine the apple sauce, brown sugar, the butter, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix it very well. Then pour over potatoes.
Then, cover and cook for 4-5 hours on low heat. Serve it with sprinkled pecans on top.
