Slow Cooker Sesame Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken breast cut into ½" pieces
  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup onion chopped
  • ¼ cup soy sauce we used a light soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper optional for heat
  • 4 teaspoons corn starch
  • 2 cups white rice cooked and kept warm
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
  • 3 tablespoon green onions chopped

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine honey, onion, soy sauce, tomato paste, garlic and red pepper (if using). Mix well. Place chicken in to slow cooker and pour mixture over chicken. Mix well.
  • Pour cornstarch over chicken, mixing well. Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours. 
  • Serve over a bed of hot white rice, sprinkled with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
