Ingredients

  • 16 oz French bread 16 oz, 1 loaf french bread, cut into ½" slices (about 4 cups)
  • 16 Oreo cookies coarsely crushed
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup butter melted
  • 2 cups milk
  • vanilla ice cream for serving
  • chocolate syrup for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 9x13 baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Place bread into the pan and sprinkle crushed oreos on top. Gently toss to mix cookies into the bread.
  • In a separate bowl, combine eggs and sugar and mix well.
  • Add butter, milk and vanilla and whisk until combined. Gently pour on top of bread and mix well to evenly distribute the liquid.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until center is set when a knife is inserted in the center.
  • Let stand to cool until warm and serve topped with chocolate syrup and vanilla ice cream.
