Honey Lemon Pepper Wings

Ingredients

  • 12 chicken wings thawed (about 1-½ lbs)
  • 3 tablespoon vegetable oil divided
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ teaspoon black pepper divided
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice about the juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place wings on baking sheet and set aside.
  • In a small bowl, mix together 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, 1 teaspoon paprika, ½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper and mix well. Use a pastry brush to brush both sides of each chicken wing with oil mixture.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until browned and crispy.
  • While chicken wings are cooking, mix together glaze. Place remaining 2 tablespoons oil, lemon juice, honey, garlic and ½ teaspoon ground black pepper in a small saucepan and mix well.
  • Heat over medium high heat, stirring frequently until mixture begins to boil. Let boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly until combined. Remove from heat.
  • When wings are done cooking, remove from oven and dredge each wing into glaze.
  • Serve immediately topped with lemon zest.
