Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 48 oz pork and beans 16 oz each, cans pork and beans (do not drain)
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 8 slices bacon cooked and chopped

Instructions

  • Add ground beef and onion to a large skillet. Season with garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix well. Heat over medium high heat, stirring frequently until beef is browned and onions are translucent. Drain grease.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and pour ground beef mixture into a 9x13 baking pan. Add beans, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard and bacon. Mix well. Spread evenly into pan.
  • Bake, uncovered, for 1 hour. Remove from oven and let stand for 10-15 minutes and serve warm.
