In a bowl mix the apple cider and the butter together. Add the applesauce, brown sugar, egg, cinnamon, nutmeg and dry yeast.
Add the flour and with the help of a spatula, stir until incorporated.
Transfer to a floured surface and knead for 3 minutes, until a soft and elastic dough forms. Return to the bowl and cover with a cloth. Let it rise for 1 hour.
Gently punch the dough down to deflate it and return it to a floured surface. Roll the dough into a 8x10 inch rectangle. Spread the butter onto the dough and sprinkle with the brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Using a sharp knife cut the dough into five 2 inch wide strips. Roll up one strip and place in the center of the skillet. Coil the remaining strips around the first one, shaping a giant cinnamon roll.
Cover the skillet with a cloth and let it rest for 40 minutes.
Take the cinnamon roll to the oven and bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
