How to Make Brookies: a Brownie Cookies Recipe

Brookies Cookies

Two of my favorite baked goods are brownies and cookies - like in this Brookies Cookies Recipe!

Ingredients

  • 18 oz brownie mix just the powder, no 'extras'
  • 3 eggs
  • C. vegetable oil
  • 1 1 /4 C. flour
  • Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ingredients
  • 1 C. butter softened to room temperature
  • cup granulated sugar
  • 1 C. packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 C. flour
  • 4 tsp. corn starch
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 ½ C. chocolate chips + more for placing a few extra on top of each Brookie

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Combine the chocolate chip cookie ingredients, mixing well.
  • Combine the ingredients, mixing well. The dough will be thick and that is ok.
  • To make the Brookies - for a 1" ball out of the each dough: Chocolate Chip AND brownie. Now, smoosh together and gently roll into into a ball and place 2-3" a part on your baking shets (see photo).
  • Repeat with remaining dough. You may have extra chocolate chip dough leftover so feel free to bake it as usual. ;)
  • Bake 8-10 minutes on 350 degrees. Do not overbake - these are wonderful being soft and chewy.
  • Remove from the oven and allow them to cool.
