This event was hosted by Warner Brothers, all opinions are my own.

Last week, I went to Auburn, Alabama to walk the red carpet premiere for the new Melissa McCarthy movie, Life of the Party. There is SO MUCH fun and excitement around a red carpet premiere event, and this one was extra special, as our host treated us to a day of beauty to get ready for the event! It was such an incredible experience that I wanted to write a separate post showing all of you how our day went! You can read my thoughts on the movie itself here - and even how our set visit to the movie went back in 2016 here!

During our hosted stay, we stayed right on the campus of Auburn University. We really got the whole college experience, with college students milling about - as well as movie stars! I even saw one of the stars in the lobby one day, and rode in the elevator with Matt Walsh that evening...it was a surreal experience!

We began with an amazing dinner the night before the premiere...if you ever stay at the Hotel at Auburn, I highly recommend having dinner at Piccolo - their food is exquisite!

After an amazing night's sleep - we all needed our beauty rest, of course! - we headed to a salon for a day of hair and make up! I haven't had a blow out or hair styled in so long, I was pretty excited to be treated to such an indulgence! I walked in with my curls all a mess, and they quickly got to work on my mop!

After my hair stylist worked her magic on me, I felt like a new woman! Then it was time for make up...I even opted for false eyelashes. I had never worn falsies before and I fell absolutely in love with the end result once my make up artist was done with me!

You should have seen us all, fancied up and feeling like a million bucks! We felt like we were movie stars too!

Then it was time to go back to the hotel and get dressed...and of course, I had a wardrobe malfunction. The zipper on my dress broke as I was getting ready. I had a gorgeous RED lacy dress to wear, and I began sweating profusely as I realized I was not going to be able to fix the dress...

Fortunately, I had just come from a girl's weekend, where I did a bunch of shopping, and I had a dress that was really pretty and I thought I could make work for the red carpet. I was so nervous, I kept texting friends asking if they thought it was going to be nice enough!

As it turns out, it was totally fine and everyone loved my dress! Not bad for a last minute WHAT CAN I WEAR scenario...

The red carpet premiere was a blur of excitement, watching the stars walk through, posing for photos with fans, signing autographs - I will say that I was incredibly impressed with how friendly everyone was to their fans!

Our host had these amazing clutches made for us, and we all carried them along the red carpet...and then something magical happened - we got to pose with Melissa McCarthy and Jamie Bowen!!!!!

    IT WAS SO EXCITING!

So, that's what it's like to walk a red carpet movie premiere! I had such a blast and I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will be able to do it again one day!

Life of the Party opens in theaters nationwide MAY 11 and is the perfect movie for Mother's Day weekend! You can read my review here!
