My mom always makes this Sea Salt Caramel Bars Recipe and it is SO GOOD! Can you believe that I never knew that they didn't actually contain caramel!? But they don't and they are so delicious!

The blend of sweet and salty makes my mouth water typing this...if you love caramel, blondies and bars, this recipe is totally for you!

    Ingredients:

    • ⅓ cup melted butter
    • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
    • 1 egg
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla
    • 1 cup flour
    • ½ teaspoon baking powder
    • pinch of baking soda
    • ⅓ cup chocolate chips
    • Sea Salt

    Directions:

Heat oven to 350. Line an 8x8 baking pan with foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.

In a large bowl, melt the butter using the microwave. I always start with 60 seconds at 50% power and then stir to melt completely. Add sugar and egg and vanilla and mix well. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and mix. Fold in chocolate chips.

Spread batter into pan and sprinkle with sea salt.
