A couple weeks ago the hubby and I had the pleasure of attending the Miami Fine Beverage, Chocolate and Food Show (Fine Food Show) at Pinecrest Gardens. We received complimentary admission as members of the media for TheRebelChick.com. While Miami has many different food, wine, and music festivals and shows throughout the year, since this was my first visit to the Fine Food Show, little did I know just how wonderful this event would be for a foodie like me!
The garden provided the greatest little venue, among the banyan trees (my favorite) and the beautiful flowers and streams. And although it was easy to navigate from one area to the next, we did a full walk through of the garden before we started to really take full advantage of everything there was to offer.
The first area was the chocolate room. The smells and samples were to die for! I mean really, who can pass up a chocolate fountain?! Once we made our way back here, we picked up a box of hot chocolate from Romanicos Chocolate and scooped up a $10 off coupon on our next purchase.
The best thing is they’re a little local shop on Coral Way (1801 Coral Way), so I know we’ll be making a visit there soon to check out more of their sweets. And as a bonus, they sell online too!
Our next stop was Restaurant Row. With so many delicious options to choose from, it was really hard to choose just one place for what we were going to consider lunch. Since we are basically addicted to pizza, we went with New York Roma Pizza and wow, they did not disappoint! And yet again another local spot for us to check out sometime soon! Out of the two slices we got, my favorite was the spinach & tomato.
Our final stop of the afternoon was the Beer, Wine and Spirits tent. Which presented another hard decision: what do we try first??
I chose a couple samples of Rex Goliath wine, while the hubby grabbed us a pina colada. We also sampled the Rave Review! Culinary spirits.
Since we love to cook, drink, and eat it was the perfect combination. We sampled each of the culinary spirits (Brandy, Bourbon, Rum, and Hops), and of the four our favorite was the Hops. We ended up going home with a bottle and can’t wait to add it to our next recipe.
Mark Your Calendars for July 26 for the NEXT Miami Fine Beverage, Chocolate and Food Show!
Local resident and show founder Mario Pi created the distinctive culinary event to spotlight the gourmet talents of world-class chocolatiers and local chefs, while presenting a selection of fine food products and beverages with a special focus on the niche world of chocolate. I've never been to a Food festival. I know I've seen some local but I haven't made the effort to go. I really should, that looks like fun. I'd be the person sticking my finger in the chocolate fountain though LOL

Festivals are the best. I would love to dive right into that chocolate fountain and would you mind passing the pineapple my way? I wish there was a stop near me. Looks like you had a blast.
