How to make Key Lime Strawberry Margaritas

I whipped up this really fun twist on the classic frozen margarita with a little South Florida flair: a Key Lime Strawberry Margarita - frozen, of course.

Ingredients you will need to make Key Lime Strawberry Margaritas

    • 4 key limes, juiced (or the juice of Key Lime in a bottle. If you don't have access to Key Lime Juice in your grocery stores, you can get it on Amazon.com!)
    • 1 pint of strawberries
    • 2 cups of ice - cubed or crushed
    • 2 cups of Limeade - we used Simply Limeade
    • 8 ounces of tequila

    Optional: granulated sugar for garnish

Directions for how to make Key Lime Strawberry Margaritas

Add all of your ingredients into a blender and blend, blend, blend away!

Take 4 rocks glasses and dip the edge of the mouth into a bowl of water, then dip into a bowl of granulated sugar to coat.

Pour your margaritas into the glasses and serve!

Why sugar rimmed glass instead of salt ?

    12. Jenn says

      February 24, 2015 at 10:59 am

Because I love the sweetness against the tartness of the tequila and lime! 🙂 Of course you can use salt if you wish, I just can't vouch for how it will taste.

While I tend to stick with classic margaritas, I once had a beer margarita punch at a party that I loved. And I've been searching for it ever since. Key lime and strawberry sound perfect for sitting out on a warm evening watching the sun set.
