    Making It Personal

A bridal shower is such a special event that brings the family and friends of the bride together in order to celebrate the upcoming marriage. This happy occasion marks the ending of the single days and the beginning of new marital bliss. Therefore, since it is such a monumental moment in the bride's life, it only makes sense that the day should be as close to perfection as possible.

When planning the best bridal shower for your friend, you want to keep in mind their particular taste. Be sure to think about what some of the bride's favorite items are and implement them into the party.  The favorites can be featured in the theme, food, dessert, or activities.

Easy Tips For a Great Party

    1. Stick to Finger Foods

This is an important tip because it helps the party flow more naturally instead of tying guests down to tables. Finger foods are simple, delicious, and easy for shower guests to enjoy while moving around. These easy foods allow people to mingle and have more conversations while walking around the shower space. Plus, with finger foods, the possibilities are endless and everyone can find something they can eat. This is a great area of the party for you to implement the brides' favorite foods. Remember to make it fun, make it easy, and make it delicious!

    2. Make a Bridal Shower Drink Special

Every party needs to have drinks. You can have your friend's favorite drink featured as a "special."  This offers a personal touch to the shower and you can have the drink alcoholic and non-alcoholic for everyone to enjoy. Additionally, you can have a drink bar for shower guests to be able to go and get their own drinks at any point during the shower.

Be sure to check out Highlands 41 Chardonnay, a delicious wine option.  The drink bar does not have to be just alcoholic beverages. The bar can also have water, juice, coffee, tea, or any other specialty drinks that may be favorites amongst the bride and guests.

    3. Make Unique Memories

Sure, you can always go ahead and do the traditional bridal shower games. However, if you really want to create memories that will last forever, you should take a note from Martha Stewart. She has countless ideas on how to make a bridal shower more memorable by opting for more unique experiences verse the traditional shower games. Martha Stewart suggests more interactive shower activities such as taking a gardening class, makeovers, a pool party, wine tasting, painting, and glamping to name a few ideas. Be sure to check out alternative bridal shower ideas before you begin planning your one-of-a-kind shower to help make the event stand out.

    4. Make a Dessert the Focal Point

Who doesn't love some delicious mouth-watering desserts?  You can help the bridal shower you are throwing stand out from others by making the dessert a focal point of the party. Experts at Country Living suggest selecting one dessert and making it a statement piece at the bridal shower.  You will be sure to get a lot of positive responses by featuring a gorgeous dessert. Check out Country Living for a variety of ideas that will help the bridal shower you are throwing stand out from the rest.

    Keep It Simple, Yet Elegant

Regardless of the bridal shower theme; remember to keep it simple and make it elegant. Prior to the shower, be sure to meet with the bride and ask her any last details she would like to see. This is also a great time for you to gather information for her shower such as her favorite foods, drinks, desserts, and colors as mentioned previously.

The shower should be focused around the bride and feature things she likes for that individual touch that is sure to set the shower apart from others. Additionally, as mentioned above, you want to make sure you have unique elements that help the event stand out from other showers.  After all, you are the friend throwing the shower. You should want guests to remember the shower as being the best shower they have ever attended. And who knows, there may be some friends wanting to enlist your help for the next big event!
