Please note this dough scoop is a 2 tablespoon one, most are 1 tablespoons. Therefore it cooks a little longer. If you use a smaller scoop you will need to make adjustments to your cooking time.
This is full of texture. You have the crunch from the pretzels and the potato chips, and the salt from them, mixed with the sweet of the chocolate chips and dough. They are deliciously chewy!

Please note - Because I like to be transparent, I did tuck small pieces of pretzel, potato chops and chocolate chips into the dough after I scooped it onto the baking sheet. I then sprinkled it with more sprinkles. That is the only way you will get the cookie to look the way it was photographed.

Please note: In order for your trash can cookies to look like the ones we have pictured here, you will need to follow this tip!
Tuck a few pieces of potato chip, crushed pretzels and chocolate chips in to the cookies. Sprinkle with additional sprinkles. Bake your cookies for 12-14 minutes or until they've turned light brown. With cookies like this, I tend to open the oven and check at 12 minutes and then let it continue cooking if they aren't "done" enough. Even one minute in the oven can make a huge difference in how your cookies turn out!
Remove your cookies from the oven and let them set to cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes. Then remove them from your baking sheet and continue to cool on a cooling rack.

Can you make the dough ahead of time or will the ingredients get soggy?
The Real Person!
I would not add the add-ins if you're making the dough ahead of time, they would definitely get soggy!
