Sometimes an ooey, gooey brownie just isn't enough on its own, and that is why you need to try this Marshmallow Brownie Delight Recipe.

    Marshmallow Brownie Delight Recipe

As much as boxed brownie mixes can be delicious, sometimes you need more. Like extra chocolate.

And marshmallows...which taste really, really good together in this Marshmallow Brownie Delight recipe that Angeline and I whipped up last weekend!

We had a Ghiradelli box brownie mix in the cabinet and decided to use that instead of making brownies from scratch.

I have to say, it is quickly becoming my favorite boxed brownie mix! I just added water, coconut oil and an egg and voila! Brownies.

That is so much easier than making brownies from scratch. I am sure that from-scratch brownies are much healthier because they lack preservatives and artificial ingredients, but let's be honest...

Sometimes a girl just REALLY wants a brownie and she does not care how healthy it is.

Do you want to know how to make this marshmallow brownie delight recipe?

It is pretty simple...all you need is a boxed brownie mix - or make your own brownie batter from scratch if you're all June Cleaver like that - and grab a bag of mini marshmallows.

If you want to make your own marshmallows from scratch too, fine. Show me up. Whatevs.

How to make this Marshmallow Brownie Delight Recipe

Ingredients needed to make this Marshmallow Brownie Delight Recipe

1 box brownie mix with chocolate sauce pouch (or 5 tablespoons chocolate syrup if you're making your brownies from scratch)

    2 cups miniature marshmallows

Directions for making this Marshmallow Brownie Delight Recipe

Preheat oven to 325 degrees and grease a 8 x 8 baking dish.

Make brownies according to package directions, stirring in the chocolate syrup after the batter is ready.

Pour half of your batter into your greased pan.

Layer one cup of marshmallows over the batter, then pour the remaining batter on top.

If any marshmallows are visible, gently tap them down into the batter with a toothpick so that none are visible.

We want the marshmallows to melt into the brownies as they bake!

Sprinkle the remaining cup of marshmallows on top and bake at 325 degrees for 45-50 minutes, depending on your oven.

I removed mine after 45 minutes and they weren't done enough, so we cooked them for an additional 5 minutes.

The result is a thick, rich and fudgy brownie with crispy, golden marshmallows on top!

The marshmallows that baked down into the batter provide a sweet little surprise in each bite!

What a great idea to use marshmallows! I love the fact that you layered some in the middle as well.

Oh man. mini marshmallows are my weakness, lol. I have hot chocolate WITH my mini marshmallows (not the other way around, lol) almost every night.

Although I usually bake from scratch, it's great to have a few box mix recipes on hand for those fast and delicious fixes. Thanks!
