4 Bachelorette Party Ideas Perfect for Your Instagram Feed

Published: Jan 4, 2020 by Jennifer · This post may contain affiliate links · Leave a Comment

You don’t really plan a Bachelorette party around Instagram posts, but the thought is always there in the back of your head. “Will the pictures look good?” “Is the activity interesting enough to garner a few (hundred) likes?” You’re not alone – every member of the bachelorette party is probably thinking the same thing.

Like it or not, photos are an important part of the bachelorette party experience. White water rafting, for instance, might sound like a good idea on paper, but the photos that come out of it – a boatful of wet-haired women in bulky life vests – aren’t exactly the way anyone wants to memorialize the day.

To that end, while planning a bachelorette party, it’s a good idea to think about how photogenic it is. You don’t necessarily need to “do it for the gram”, but you can at least consider the gram. Here are four bachelorette party ideas that are fun, fascinating and make for some awesome Instagram photos.

    Axe Throwing

Nothing – absolutely nothing – looks more badass than a woman wielding a big axe. This trendy sport is catching on with bachelorette party planners not only because it’s wildly fun (who knew throwing an axe at a wooden target could be so exhilarating), but also because the photos look great. Action shots of the bride to be making sawdust of a wooden target, static shots of the whole squad holding their axes up triumphantly, or solo shots of you resting the axe on your shoulder – throw some fun into your bachelorette party with this one!

    A 40s Themed Cocktail Party

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably seen the onslaught of “Gatsby” themed events. They have no real connection to the novel The Great Gatsby, but instead are premised on the universal fact that 40s-era flapper and garden party attire looks incredibly cool. It’s true. Host a 40’s-themed cocktail party, complete with formal attire and some light jazz, and let the cameras snap. Check out this Pinterest page to help get the look down.

    Perfume Making

Arts and crafts posts always seem to do well on Instagram. As much as people like seeing you strike a pose for the camera, they (arguably) like it even more when you’re creating something, or pursuing your interests. And who among you can say you haven’t wanted to try making perfume before? Perfume-making (or essential oil-making) tutorials have started to pop up at higher end craft shops and perfumeries, and they make a great bachelorette party starter.

    Glamping

Getting glam in the great outdoors – now that’s a photo shoot. Round up the bachelorette party and head out into nature, with all the creature comforts and luxuries you’d enjoy at a high end hotel. This mix of roughing it and pampering yourself is an intoxicating juxtaposition, perfect for a photo shoot. Just don’t forget to bring a disco ball to hang in the tent!

Bachelorette parties aren’t all about photos, but it’s worth considering. Luckily, all of the four ideas above are crazily fun in their own right.
