If the delay was caused by anything you’re not in charge of, like a mistake from the airlines, at that point, each airline company has its own policy on how to handle these situations. However, if the delay occurred from your side, you need to take it easy and remember that not everything is completely lost! These tips we will be providing are to help you catch your flight on time.

10 Ways To Welcome More Travel Into Your Life

There’s no need to panic, you can actually get there if you smartly managed your timeline!

    Download the airline app

In order to keep flight changes up-to-date, you need to download the mobile application. Of course you don’t have to download all the airlines apps, but if you travel with a certain airline frequently, it would be easier if you get their app. There are also apps available that provide general flight information, which is much more convenient. On the day of your flight, you will get notifications about when to check-in, flight status, and if there are any adjustments happened to the gates. Even though airline companies state that you must show up 30 minutes in advance in front of the gate, they cannot make sure of your presence until they scan your boarding pass. To avoid this hassle, you can check-in online through the application before going to the airport, just you make sure that your seat is reserved and that you don’t have to go through the boarding process standing in long lines, wasting time and risking being late. Besides, you can take advantage of the online check-in system, by choosing your seat in order to avoid sitting in a seat that you don’t like.

Check the traffic before heading to the airport

Relying on public transportation to go to the airport can be very stressful, especially if you’re in a rush. If your train, bus, or even Uber failed to deliver you at the specified time, you can miss your flight. Unfortunately, most airlines refuse to refund money in these circumstances and you may need to book another flight. If you really want to obtain peace of mind, check the traffic on Google Maps the day before your trip. This will give you a general idea to estimate your departure time from home. if you want to use your private car to bypass delays, you may want to secure airport parking prior to your flight date. Utilizing airport parking have been known to be utilized a lot of big cities with a lot of air traffic, such as New York, Los Angeles, and Miami. A long term parking miami airport will allow you to leave your car as long as you need. This service will leave you assured that your car is secured from the moment you leave it at the airport, until the moment you come back and take it home with you. There’s no doubt that this will be faster than shuttle buses that stop at each station.

How To Pack Efficiently For Your Next Travel

Pack your bags 24 hours before your flight

You might think that packing is easy and can be done in a few hours. But please, don’t fall into this trap! You will certainly risk being late. It’s also very helpful if you create a checklist for your essential belongings, you will be comfortable and secure knowing that you haven’t missed anything. Don’t forget to check the weight and dimension of the luggage you’re allowed to carry on the airline’s website or app. As economy class travelers are granted to carry less weight than the business and first class. By doing so, you avoid wasting time in having your luggage tampered with and having to remove items, which definitely takes up a ton of time and could result in you arriving late for your flight.

There will always be delays beyond our control, but there is also plenty of action you can take to guarantee that you are still able to catch your flight. There are measures you should keep in mind in order to reduce delays, such as using the airport parking services, contacting the airport agents, and checking-in online. All you have to do is be careful and prepare yourself!
