Our Red White and Blue Ice Cream Sandwiches is so easy to make and I love that they are smaller, so you don't feel as guilty when you eat one!

Red White and Blue Ice Cream
The trick to our Red White and Blue Ice Cream Sandwiches is to flatten the ice cream on the cookie with a knife before adding the top cookie to make the sandwich.
If you press the cookie into the ice cream in hopes of it flattening and squishing the ice cream, the cookie will most likely break.
Now, of course a broken cookie is fine, but it really looks much better when it is not broken! Of course...everything looks much prettier when it is intact.
You can get a 1.7 oz bottle of Betty Crocker Red, White & Blue Sprinkles at the local grocery store or on Amazon.com, and one bottle of sprinkles will make 16-20 sandwiches.
There are 40 cookies in a sleeve and sometimes they are broken when you open it up - this isn't really anyone's fault, it just happens during packaging, shipping and stocking. So you will still end up with 16-20 sandwiches even if some of the cookies are broken.
Red White and Blue Ice Cream for 4th of July
You often find the cookies near the ice cream toppings at the grocery store. You know where the ice cream cones, waffle cones and bowls are? These will be there too, if your local grocery store carries them. If not, you can find stuff like this on Amazon! They don't have a huge selection, but it is worth checking out!
