I band together with 11 other bloggers every month to bring you twelve tasty dishes with a special theme and today's is my Saint Patrick’s Day Chocolate Dipped Strawberries.

Why You Will Love Our Saint Patrick’s Day Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

Our little group is called #12Bloggers and we set out in 2014 with the goal of bringing our readers 12 recipes a month with twelve ingredients or less. Of course, as you have probably noticed by now, I am all about the sweets. I hope to diversify a little as the year progresses and get more creative with actual meals instead of just desserts and snacks, but for now...I am bringing you my newest recipe, these Saint Patrick's Day Dipped Strawberries!

I love strawberries, and really, the only thing I love more than strawberries are Saint Patrick’s Day Chocolate Dipped Strawberries. It's the best of both worlds! Rich, decadent chocolate and a ripe, fresh berry? You can't much more luxurious in your desserts, unless you pair them with champagne or a glass of Prosecco!

Driscoll's Berries sent me a bunch of coupons in February to create this Strawberry Chocolate Bark Recipe, and I am still using up those coupons! With as often as Angeline and I eat strawberries, they are quickly running out!

How to make St Patrick’s Day Dipped Strawberries

Ingredients you will need to make these Saint Patrick’s Day Chocolate Dipped Strawberries:

1 package of fresh, bright red and ripe strawberries
8 ounces of quality dark chocolate
    ½ cup small green nonpareils

    strawberries and melted chocolate

Directions for How to make St Patrick’s Day Dipped Strawberries

Carefully hand wash and dry each strawberry. To be certain they are dry use a paper towel on each berry, including the green tops before dipping.  Let them sit at room temp before dipping or condensation could interfere with the dipping process and not allows the chocolate to stick to the berry.

Melt the dark chocolate according to the package instructions.  You’ll want the chocolate to be hot enough that it is fully melted, but not so hot that it will half start to ‘cook’ the strawberries.

Have a tray lined with wax paper ready to go along with your chocolate and green nonpareils in bowls that can easily be dipped into before starting.

You will want to move quickly to ensure you’re able to dip into or sprinkle on the nonpareils before the chocolate starts to set.  Dip one strawberry at a time into the chocolate and then the nonpareils before moving to the next one.

The chocolate will harden faster than you might expect-in only a few minutes.

After dipping carefully place each strawberry on the tray with enough space that they will not touch.  Let set up full then cover or transfer to an air tight container and store in the refrigerator.

Thanks for the tips about letting the strawberries come to room temp and to making sure they are very dry before dipping them in the chocolate.
