Are you in the throes of planning your wedding or just fascinating by the wedding industry. Either way, you might be interested by the latest trends that are rocking this business and changing how people celebrate this exciting first chapter of the rest of their lives. Here are some of the key trends to watch out for.

A Wedding On A Budget

In the past, people used to pride themselves on how much they spent on their weddings. This was perhaps in part tied to the idea that traditionally it was the bride’s parents who were supposed to front the bill. Or, if you were really lucky, the parents on both sides would cover the costs. These days, people have abandoned this idea and young couples are left to cover the cost themselves. They do this often while juggling lingering student loans, mounting credit card debts and mortgages. It’s no surprise then that polls suggest people are more likely to opt for the budget friendly wedding these days. Particularly if it means they can jet off somewhere special on their honeymoon.

Choosing Your Own Engagement Ring

Another key trend to consider is tied to the engagement ring. In the past, it was traditional for a groom to choose the ring and propose. This almost certainly led to a lot of girls wearing a ring that they hated for the rest of their life. But things have changed and now it’s socially acceptable for a guy to propose with nothing but hopes and dreams, allowing a girl to choose the engagement ring herself. Just make sure that you check out diamond prices before committing to a purchase. There’s a lot of dealers that will charge you far more than the ring is worth.

Location Weddings

After the chaos that was the Covid-19 pandemic a lot of couples are opting for location weddings. They are going all out and getting married on luxurious beaches all around the world. If you are looking for a location that is far away from home then take a look online and do some destination shopping. Speak to your partner about where you would both most like to get married and see if you match on any of the options.

There are lots of hotels and travel companies that offer destination wedding packages. This usually includes but isn’t limited to a stay in the hotel, flowers, and venue.

Less Serious, More Fun Please

Take a look at some of the most recent trends that others have used at their weddings. If you want to make your big day amazing then think about having a flower wall set up behind you while you say your vows. This will look amazing in your wedding photos and your guests will love it. At the reception, you could also have a champagne tower. Tell everyone to help themselves to a glass and then toast to the happy couple.

If you are wanting some entertainment at the wedding that will ensure your guests remember the day or night well then think about hiring a photobooth. These come with props and you can take as many pictures as you like. They serve as a good memento for your big day.

We hope this helps you understand some of the most popular modern trends that are reshaping the wedding industry right now and changing everything we used to know about this grand event.
