How do you spend a sunny February day in Miami?

You pack up the family and head down to the Coconut Grove Arts Festival!

I love attending the arts festival in Coconut Grove because it’s actually 3 festivals in one. There’s the actual Coconut Grove Arts Festival that charges a $10 entrance fee – they’re on their 49th year!! There are also two other festivals taking place at the same time, one is just a little fair with handmade items and the entrance is free, then there is the St Joseph’s art fair, which has a $2 entrance fee.

I love all of the different crafts showcased at the festival, like these garden statues made from re-purposed materials!

And this booth selling Indian-inspired clothing had some wonderful items!

The art festival is also a great place for finding unique and stylish jewelry!

You always find unique items, like these handmade corks for wine bottles!

This was by far my favorite booth – they created beautiful pendants out of old chipped china and silverware!

Of course you can find the more common artwork as well, like these statues!

There were art booths galore, with everything from contemporary and abstract art to landscapes!

We spent about 2 hours walking through the various booths and checking out the handmade crafts and artwork. My in-laws loved it! While they are partial to SouthWestern style art (they live in New Mexico), they really enjoyed seeing the South Florida inspired artwork and the crafts our local craftsmen presented!
