I’ve begun preparing for my upcoming trip aboard the Carnival Sunshine cruise ship in July, which includes an overnight port in Venice, Italy.

I have always wanted to see Venice. The canals, the gondola rides, the cafes…and I will finally have my chance! While I have an overnight port in Venice during my time with the Carnival Sunshine cruise ship , I also plan on extending my stay in Italy by a few days. I hope to spend the remainder of my time in Rome, so I have all day to enjoy all that Venice has to offer!

I have been researching things to do in Venice online and found three pages of tours available through Viator.com!

Why Viator? Because I have a $100 gift certificate that I received last year at TBEX! I’ve been saving it all this time and fully intend on using it during this trip. I want to stretch my travel budget as far as possible while in Europe so that I can see as much as possible!

5 Things to do in Venice, Italy for Under $100

Venice by Night Tour and Gondola Ride $67.55 pp

On the Venice by Night walking tour and gondola ride, I can explore Venice during the nighttime hours with a friendly local guide. The tour includes top sights like the Rialto Bridge, and we can visit beautiful Venetian squares including Campo San Polo and Campo San Margherita! It’s a 40 minute gondola ride and each gondola holds up to 6 people, which I don’t think is bad for $67.55!

Venice Ghost Walking Tour $26.12

On the 1.5-hour Venice by night ghost walking tour, you will hear six ghost stories, legends and little-known facts about Venice. I love that this tour allows you to leave the tourist path to explore the backstreets of hidden Venice, which means you get to see architectural gems, including the Bovolo spiral staircase! Plus, hello…ghosts!

Private Tour: Venice Rialto Market, San Polo and Frari Church Walking Tour $47.82

On this two-hour private walking tour of the Rialto market, San Polo and Frari Church, guests will see artworks by Titian and Bellini at the Frari! How cool is that? And at only $47.82, there’s still plenty leftover to check out another tour!

Hidden Venice Half Day Walking Tour $29.02

The two-hour morning walking tour of Venice Frari Church in San Polo with its treasures by Bellini, Titian and Canova allows visitors to see parts of Venice most visitors don’t get to see! I love taking walking tours, as the tour guides are usually so knowledgeable about the places the tours go through!

Murano Glass and Burano Lace Tour from Venice $64.64

Half-day Murano and Burano tour from Venice allows you to watch local craftsmen at work in a Murano glass workshop, browse an impressive collection of glass artwork and see Burano lace being made by local islanders! You can also visit the Burano Lace Museum independently once the tour is complete.
