No Bake Patriotic Edible Cookie Dough

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons butter softened
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla Extract
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • ½ cup all purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup white and blue sprinkles plus 1 teaspoon red white and blue sprinkles

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and spread your all purpose flour onto a baking sheet. Bake for 8 minutes to kill any bacteria. Let cool completely.
  • Add butter, sugar and vanilla to a mixing bowl and beat well. Scrape down sides of bowl halfway through beat until fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add milk, flour and salt and beat until combined. Fold in ¼ cup sprinkles.
  • Serve immediately topped with remaining sprinkles or refrigerate covered until ready to serve. Remove from the refrigerator and let stand for 20-30 minutes to soften before serving.
  • Makes ¾ cup

Notes

Please note that while this is a no bake recipe, you should never consume raw flour, so you can either bake it for 8 minutes as this recipe suggests or microwave your all purpose flour for 3 minutes to kill any bacteria.
