Cheesy Bacon & Swiss Chard Gratin Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 LB Swiss Chard wash, drain, chop the size of spinach leaves
  • ½ PKG Bacon cook, drain, crumble - save bacon fat!
  • ½ Cup Italian Seasoned Breadcrumbs
  • 1 Cup Heavy Cream
  • 2 Cloves Garlic crushed
  • ½ Cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 2 TBS Butter
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to *400. In the pan you cooked the bacon in, the one with the fat left over, toss in your chopped Swiss Chard and butter. Cook until wilted. About 3 minutes.
  • While that's going, bring cream and garlic to a boil in a medium saucepan. Remove from heat. Stir in salt and pepper.
  • Place wilted chard in an oven safe dish. I like my cast iron pan.
  • Pour warmed cream mixture over the top. Add bacon and cheese over the top of that evenly.
  • Finally, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and top off with a bit more salt & pepper. Bake for 20 minutes or until top is all bubbly, warm, brown, yummy.
  • Serve hot!
