- 2 Apples Cored and sliced
- ½ Cup Caramels Melted
- ½ Cup Pecans Chopped
Once the Apples are cored and sliced dunk them in some acidulated water (1 Cup water 2 teas. Lemon juice). This will help slow the browning process.
As you pull the slices out to work with them pat the tops dry so the caramel will stick better.
Using a butter knife get a good amount of caramel on the blade. Let it drop down onto the apple slice and work around the ring.
Be careful the caramel will be hot. Scrape the blade on the edge of the apple ring and continue until the whole ring is covered.
Stick your pecan pieces on the caramel while it is still warm and viola! You have Pecan Caramel Apple Rings!
