Ingredients

  • 1 lb spicy ground sausage
  • 1 cup all purpose baking mix like Bisquick or Jiffy brand
  • ¼ cup yellow onion diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
  • Add sausage, baking mix, onion, garlic powder and cheese in a mixing bowl and mix well. It's stiff and hard to incorporate everything at first, so use your hands to mix it all together.
  • Using a 2 tablespoon sized portion scoop, scoop sausage into balls and roll them in your hands. Place onto prepared baking sheet about 1" apart.
  • Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and remove from baking sheet. Serve immediately.

Notes

Makes 2 dozen balls
