Caramel Apple Slices

Ingredients

  • 2 Apples Cored and sliced
  • ½ Cup Melted Caramels
  • ½ Cup Chopped Pecans

Instructions

  • Once the Apples are cored and sliced dunk them in some acidulated water (1 Cup water 2 teas. Lemon juice).  This will help slow the browning process.
  • As you pull the slices out to work with them pat the tops dry so the caramel will stick better.
  • Using a butter knife get a good amount of caramel on the blade.  Let it drop down onto the apple slice and work around the ring.
  • Be careful the caramel will be hot.  Scrape the blade on the edge of the apple ring and continue until the whole ring is covered.
  • Stick your pecan pieces on the caramel while it is still warm and viola! You have Pecan Caramel Apple Rings!
