Red, White & Blue Marshmallow Pops Recipe for Labor Day

Ingredients

  • 24 regular size marshmallows
  • 12 ounces dipping chocolate
  • ¼ cup red candy melts
  • ¼ cup blue candy melts
  • red white and blue sprinkles
  • bamboo bbq skewers

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet or cutting board with wax paper and set aside.
  • Thread three regular size marshmallows onto a bamboo skewer until you have 8 skewers.
  • Place chocolate into a tall glass and microwave on high powder for 60 seconds.
  • Stir and return to the microwave. Heat for 30 seconds at 50% powder an stir until smooth.
  • Dip marshmallows on the skewers into the chocolate and shake off the excess chocolate well.
  • Place on prepared wax paper.
  • Repeat until all marshmallows are covered in chocolate. Let stand to harden.
  • Place one color candy melts into a small resealable sandwich bag but do not seal. Heat on 50% power for 60 seconds.
  • Knead until smooth.
  • If necessary, return to the microwave for 30 seconds at 50% power or until smooth.
  • Seal the bag and snip the tip. Drizzle onto each marshmallow skewer.
  • Repeat with the remaining color and add sprinkles just after drizzling the color.
  • Let stand to harden.
  • Serve immediately or store in an airtight container at room temperature until ready to serve.

Notes

Makes 8 skewers.
