Unroll pie crust and place into a 9" pie plate. Flute the edges with your fingers. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 375.
In a large saucepan, combine apples, 1 stick butter, cubed, ½ cup brown sugar, 2 tablespoons all purpose flour, and cinnamon. Mix well. Heat over medium heat, stirring frequently until butter is melted. Reduce heat to low and cover. Cook until apples are almost tender, about 12 minutes. Stir occasionally so sugar doesn't burn or stick. Remove from heat and pour into prepared crust.
To make the topping, add 1 cup flour, ½ cup brown sugar, salt and mix well. Use a pastry cutter to cut in the remaining stick of butter until crumbly chunks remain. Stir in nuts. Sprinkle on top of pie filling.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, checking around 25 minutes to be sure edges of the crust are not burning. If they are beginning to brown, cover with foil and return to oven for remaining cooking time. Bake until bubbly, center is hot and topping is golden brown.
Remove from oven and cool completely or until just warm. Serve with caramel sauce drizzled on top.
