Ingredients

  • 1 package 16.5 oz, refrigerated sugar cookie dough
  • 1 tub 16 oz, white frosting
  • green food coloring I use Wilton Color Gels in Leaf Green
  • Marshmallow Peeps
  • Mini Robin's Eggs
  • Edible Easter Grass

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 9x13 baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray. Break apart cookie dough and press evenly into pan. Bake for 16-20 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool completely.
  • Add food coloring to frosting and mix well to color green. Set aside.
  • Before cutting cookie bars, set a peep or two onto the cookies in the pan. Use a knife to cut the bars, the peep bars will be a little bigger than the nest bars. You should end up with about 15 bars.
  • Frost each bar with green frosting.
  • To create the nest, take 3 strands of edible grass and roll it into a small circle, about the size of a dollar coin. As you release the grass, it should open up a bit to be about the size of the cookie. Place on top.
  • Place a peep on top of the grass with two eggs next to it. To make the nest cookies, place three to four eggs into the center of the nest.
