Wedding Planning for Optimum Fun on Your Perfect Day

Published: May 31, 2019 · Modified: Apr 28, 2021 by Jennifer · This post may contain affiliate links · Leave a Comment

So you've found that perfect someone that makes your heart go pitter patter and have decided to get married. Congrats. Now all that's left is to plan your wedding. Listed below are a few ideas to make everything leading up to your special day, perfect.

    Wedding Folder

There are so many big and small details to plan. In order to stay on track and get everything done, a wedding folder is something that's essential. You can use it to keep all your important papers such as the wedding date, the venue location and contracts, a list of invited guests, the rehearsal dinner information, invitations  —  you get the idea. There are going to be a myriad of documents and other things to take care of, having everything centrally located will be a godsend.

    Selecting Rings

Your wedding ring is something that you will cherish forever. So, it's important to put some effort into selecting the right one. With so many choices in front of you, the process can become a bit overwhelming. However, if you narrow the playing field to your likes, you can eliminate at least half of the selection.

For instance, do you want diamonds or gems or would you prefer a simple band? Is silver, platinum or gold more appealing in color? Or, if you want a modern look, black zirconium wedding bands make a smart choice. Visit a couple of reputable places and give them a sense of what you are looking for, and don't settle. In order to have them ready on time, you should also make your decision early and order the rings at least a few months prior to your wedding date.

    Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties

For men and women, a bachelor/bachelorette party gives them one last night as a single to have fun with their closest friends and family members. These certainly don't have to be a raunchy fest that you tuck away in your brain for eternity. In fact, most are nothing of the sort.

The social gathering before your wedding should contain select people, not the entire guest list, as it is a true send-off of well-wishers. Today, these parties take place in fun locations such as in casinos. Some casino events such as boxing and comedy clubs are big hits and then afterward, the gang can hit the gambling floor and try their luck for an hour or so. If the budget allows, some people even fly out to megacities such as New York or Las Vegas and then rent a limo and drive around to different places.

Deciding to Hire a Wedding Planner

There's a lot of work that goes into planning a wedding and depending on your budget and personal preferences, it can be a small informal affair or an extravagant ceremony. No matter how big or small there will be details.

There are invitations, flowers, dresses, entertainment and a photographer to order for starters. And, in order to reserve a date at the venue of your choice, you must book it well in advance. Then, of course, you have to compile a list of guests, which in many cases can become exhausting. If you are clueless or simply don't have the time or are worried about doing something wrong, hiring a wedding planner can keep you on track and let you place more of the focus on selecting where to honeymoon and live after you return.

Finding someone special is a blessing. And, now that you've decided to tie the knot, planning the perfect wedding is the next step. The good news is that you can do it and survive the entire process with some organization tips and the help of others.
