Top 7 Things to Do in Las Vegas for 20-Year-Olds

Published: Apr 3, 2023 · Modified: Nov 2, 2024 by Jennifer · This post may contain affiliate links ·

Are you a 20-year-old thinking about visiting Las Vegas? If so, you can find many things to do in Las Vegas that do not involve gambling or drinking. In fact, most of the things you can do in Las Vegas are suitable for teenagers and young adults.

Contrary to popular belief, Las Vegas offers several shows and activities which only require you to be 18 years old to experience them. So if you are a 20-year-old, you can experience thrilling rides, entertaining shows, desert adventures, gourmet restaurants, and more.

Do you need some ideas on what to do in Las Vegas? Below are the top seven things to do in Las Vegas for 20-year-olds.

Top 7 Things to Do in Las Vegas for 20-Year-Olds

Top 7 Things to Do in Las Vegas for 20-Year-Olds

    1) Jabbawockeez

Jabbawockeez is a popular show for teens and young adults. The 75-minute show features a faceless dance crew with no individual identities because they all wear white masks and gloves. The dancers visually represent music during the show by showcasing killer dance moves, impressive choreography, and unified synchronization.

Jabbawockeez demonstrates proper rhythm and athleticism on the dance floor. It is no wonder why they are an influential dance crew worldwide and the winner of the “Best All Ages Production” award for four consecutive years. Other available shows in Las Vegas also have choreographed dancing, but nothing like what you see in Jabbawockeez.

    2) The Fashion Show Mall

The Fashion Show Mall is a fashionable shopping mall with over 30 restaurants and 250 retail stores on the Las Vegas Strip. It features top-branded stores like Forever 21, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Nordstrom. As for the restaurants, they include exotic and cultural dining options like Galpão Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse, The Capital Grille, and El Segundo Sol.

Now you may not have much money to spend at these stores and restaurants as a 20-year-old in Las Vegas. However, they are still worth visiting and browsing for fun by walking through the mall and exploring it for the first time. Perhaps you’ll find at least one store matching your budget and interests.

    3) Stratosphere Hotel’s Thrill Rides

The Stratosphere Hotel is recognizable in Las Vegas because of its 1,149-foot high tower. But if you take an elevator to the rooftop, you’ll discover unique thrill rides suitable for any 20-year-old looking for fun and excitement. Of course, only go on these rides if you’re not afraid of heights and have control over your blood pressure because they are scary.

One ride called Big Shot casts you 160 feet into the air from an already high location at 45 miles per hour and then freefalls you back down. Another ride is Insanity, which uses a mechanical arm to carry you approximately 64 feet from the rooftop’s edge while being dangled 900+ feet over the ground.

    4) Cirque du Soleil Shows

Cirque du Soleil is the most renowned production company in Las Vegas. It produces some of the best longest-running shows in Vegas history. Cirque shows are best known for their elaborate costumes, incredible acrobatics, death-defying stunts, original storylines, spectacular visual effects, and more.

The six active Cirque du Soleil shows for 20-year-olds include Mad Apple, Ka, Mystere, O, Michael Jackson ONE, and The Beatles LOVE. Visit Vegaslens for more information about these shows, including exclusive promo codes and discount opportunities not available elsewhere.

    5) The Big Apple Coaster and Arcade

The Big Apple Coaster at the New York-New York Hotel is another thrill ride suitable for young adults, especially 20-year-olds. The ride moves over 67 miles per hour as you pass recreations of famous New York City landmarks, such as the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty. There is even a 180-degree twist at one point before dropping approximately 203 feet. This heart-pounding ride offers real excitement to anyone brave enough to go on it.

The Big Apple Arcade is worth checking out at the New York-New York Hotel. It features the newest and best arcade video games, including classic games like NBA Fever, Air Hockey, and Skee-Ball. If you’re a 20-year-old traveling with someone else, you should purchase a package with multiple tickets and arcade credits.

    6) The Mirage’s Volcano

The Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas features a manufactured volcano attraction that erupts flames and fireballs every night at every hour from 7 PM to 11 PM. It is a 100% free attraction for anyone who wishes to see this volcano sculpture illuminate the night sky with its fire and fury.

A 20-year-old without much money can make the most of this experience because it costs nothing. Meanwhile, you can experience a larger-than-lif spectacle featuring everything from large explosive flames to monumental music. So if you happen to be on the Las Vegas Strip in the evening, stop by the Mirage Hotel to look at this volcano erupt for yourself.

    7) High Roller Observational Wheel

The High Roller Observational Wheel is the highest observation wheel in the world, standing at a whopping 550 feet tall. You can access the High Roller on the Las Vegas Strip at the LINQ Hotel by visiting the LINQ Promenade entertainment district.

It is a popular area amongst young people in their 20s because of the rides, shopping, and activities found in the district. The High Roller offers 360-degree views to the guests while they are inside their cabins. It takes about 15 minutes to reach the top of the 550-foot tall observational wheel from the ground and another 15 minutes to return to the ground.
