When I was told that I would be staying in Santa Monica, California for the press screening of Mirror Mirror earlier this year, I was thrilled! Having never been to the beach in California, I was just as excited to be near the Pacific as I was to see Mirror Mirror and meet Lily Collins.
When I arrived at the Huntley Hotel in Santa Monica, I realized that I had one more thing to be excited about…the hotel where I was staying was amazing!
Think boutique hotel. Think swanky.
Think totally 100% awesome!
The Huntley Hotel is located just a few blocks away from Santa Monica Beach – I was able to make a quick trip down to the beach before breakfast! There are 204 luxurious rooms total, with nicely oversized guestrooms including 15 suites and of course, the Presidential Suite. Room service, rooftop bar and restaurant, even a fireplace on the outside patio where I found the smoking area.
I think that my favorite part of the hotel was the lobby. Talk about a great first impression!
From the shag white rug to the wooden chairs and leather benches – and the white, fluffy throw pillows! – I walked in and instantly thought to myself, “swanky.”
I loved the piranha on the wall!
There was an incredible restaurant upstairs, which is where our blogging group had lunch together before meeting Lily Collins.
The food was amazing!

It was even more amazing!
Of course, a fabulous lobby and a gourmet lunch are both wonderful. But when you’re traveling, there’s really nothing like ending your long, adventurous day in a soft, super comfortable bed.
A luxurious bed.
And that is just what I had waiting for me in my hotel room upstairs!
I had a single queen sized guestroom, with a mini bar, a dresser, flat screen television and a desk/workstation.
My bed….was amazing…I seriously did not want to get out of it the next morning! I think it was on this trip that I first realized that my life would not be complete without a pillow top mattress topper.
Having just bought a new mattress 3 years ago, I knew I couldn’t talk the hubs into buying a pillow top mattress, so I started shopping around for a mattress topper when I returned home!
