Give Thanks for Your Dogs With Purina! #DogThanking

Did you know that this year marks the 15th anniversary of the National Dog Show Presented by Purina? FIFTEEN YEARS! That's fifteen glorious years of our canine family members. YAY!

This year, Purina is inviting dog lovers around the country to share and show their social media communities how much they thank their pets. I don't know about you, but I am SO grateful for my little fluffy buddies, Bailey and Toby. They are the sweetest little bundles of fur that any dog lover could hope for!

For every original post submitted through November 27 that includes @Purina and the hashtag, #DogThanking, Purina will donate one dollar to the Canine Health Foundation – up to $50,000 – to help further pet health research.

The Canine Health Foundation is dedicated to advancing the health of all dogs and their owners by funding scientific research and supporting the dissemination of health information to prevent, treat, and cure canine disease. There are so many health conditions that can affect our dogs, and I am all for any initiative that aims to keep them healthy and happy!

The Canine Health Foundation has three primary goals:

• To fund canine health research projects to the Foundation’s capacity which address the diversity of canine health concerns and may have comparative medicine benefits for humans
• To select and monitor, through a rigorous process, research projects that meet high scientific standards and have the greatest potential for advancing the health of dogs
• To communicate to the pet-owners, veterinarians and researchers, funded discoveries that help prevent, treat, and cure canine diseases.

What a wonderful foundation, right? I am so happy to be able to help spread the word and hopefully help raise money to assist them in their pet health research!

And guess what? All of your submitted videos, photos and posts may be shown during the National Dog Show Presented by Purina, on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 24 at noon in all time zones) on NBC.
