For centuries, marijuana has been used both recreationally and medically. The methods of consuming this plant vary depending on the user's preferences. Some like to smoke it while others prefer eating and drinking edibles. There are also a variety of ways to use marijuana concentrates including dabbing and vaping. Regardless of the method you choose to consume cannabis, there are some things that you must keep in mind about the effects. If this interests you, keep reading to learn more about the many ways you can consume cannabis as well as what you can expect from each consumption method.

    Bubblers

Bubblers have been around for a while, but with the recent legalization of cannabis in many states, they have become increasingly popular. Most bubblers on grasscity.com are made from glass and can be quite intricate in their design. Some people use bubblers to smoke cannabis, while others use them to smoke tobacco or other herbs. Bubbler pipes come in a variety of shapes and sizes, so there is something for everyone. If you're looking for a unique and functional pipe, then a bubbler is the way to go.

    Tinctures

Tinctures are made by dissolving dry cannabis flowers in alcohol to form a liquid that is to be consumed sublingually by placing a few drops underneath your tongue and then swallowing after 2 minutes. Cannabis enters into your bloodstream via the nerves underneath your tongue which is one of the safest and healthiest ways to administer cannabis. Tinctures are especially popular amongst medical marijuana users and some even put a few drops in their tea instead of underneath their tongue. Tinctures are convenient, discreet, portable, and safe which adds to their popularity.

    Hand pipes

Hand pipes are as the name suggests, handheld inhalation devices used to smoke dry cannabis herbs. The device has a bowl, a neck, and a mouthpiece, and to consume with this device, all you need to do is stack the bowl with a small amount of finely crushed cannabis, light the herbs with a flame while inhaling slowly through the mouthpiece. Consuming with a hand pipe involves combustion which has health risks such as lung, throat, and upper airway cancer. People love this device however because it is handheld, portable, convenient, and easy to use. You will also save money in the long run because only a small amount of cannabis is required per session.

    Dry herb vaporizers

Dry herb vaporizers are hand-held, battery-powered devices that produce vapor by heating your dry herb at a temperature of your choosing. This device consists of a mouthpiece, chamber, and battery, and to use it simply stack some finely crushed herb into the chamber, turn on the device, select your temperature and inhale. Each temperature produces a different effect for example low temperatures produce more flavor while higher temperatures produce stronger bodily effects. This personalized experience as well as the increased potency, portability, and convenience, is what makes this device so popular.

    Joints

Joints are the most common and popular consumption method. This method of inhalation involves a hand-rolled joint which is crushed marijuana rolled in rolling paper. You smoke this device the same way you would smoke a cigarette. The combustion has many health risks including lung cancer and upper airway cancer however many people prefer this method because of the quick onset and the fact that it does great in social settings.

    Transdermal patches

Transdermal patches are patches that contain cannabis and you apply them directly onto your skin's surface, focusing on an area that has more veins exposed. Once you apply the patch, you can forget about it and throughout the day it will slowly release cannabis into your system. This can last upward of 12- 96 hours which is great for users who are looking for something discreet, portable, and innovative.

    Edibles

Edibles are any food and drink product that contains cannabis. They come in a variety of forms including cookies, brownies, gummies, and tea. You consume edibles orally and they get processed in your digestive system and liver which has an onset of around 60 minutes -2 hours. This consumption method induces potent and intense effects that last upward of 12 hours which makes this a popular method of consumption. Not to mention it is one of the safest and healthiest ways to consume cannabis.

    Dab rigs

Dab rigs are water filtration devices that look like bongs. The difference is that these devices use wax or other concentrates and produce vapor instead of smoke. To consume, simply fill the device with some water, place a small amount of wax in the bowl, light the nail with a flame and then put the hot nail on the wax which will create vapor that you inhale. This device produces potent and flavourful effects which makes it a popular method of consumption.
