Published: Apr 16, 2019 · Modified: Dec 17, 2024 by Jennifer · This post may contain affiliate links · Leave a Comment

Much has been raved about Central Europe among globetrotters in the last few years and its emergence as a legendary tourist destination is because of its beautiful and culturally rich cities.

Although cities like Budapest and Prague have made their way into the itinerary of almost everyone visiting Central Europe, there are other places that are far less undiscovered.

Book Denmark Vacation Packages and visit the smallest Nordic country, but easily one of the most spectacular in terms of its history, architecture and culture.

Best places to visit on your vacation to Central Europe

Here are 5 places that you must visit during your time in Central Europe:

    Denmark

Many are not aware of the fact that Denmark comprises of a mainland as well as 400 islands that are home to numerous castes, gardens and delicious meals.

For a perfect Scandinavian vacation with minimum negative environmental impact, head to Denmark and take in its stunning history, magical museums, vibrant cities and delectable cuisine.

Make sure you pay a visit to Copenhagen, probably the most distinct jewel on the Danish crown, and visit the castles, Tivoli Gardens, the second-oldest amusement park in the world as well as the museums. The best way to explore the city would be to take a Copenhagen walking tour and delve into its beauty on foot.

    Budapest

Budapest has very sneakily made its way into the hearts and itineraries of many who venture out on a Eurotrip.

There are many things to do in the city but one of the most recommended experiences is to start with a dinner cruise along the river as you look out at the glorious architecture.

Make sure you visit the Buda Castle and thermal pool to rejuvenate yourself after all the sightseeing.

    Krakow

The erstwhile capital of Poland has become one of the most popular attractions in Europe today.

Whether it is the glorious architecture that one can find in the churches, cathedrals and castles or the nightlife that you can experience by visiting any of the bars, clubs and restaurants, Krakow will leave you longing for more at the end of your trip.

    Prague

Prague is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and anyone who disagrees with this claim has probably not visited the City of a Hundred Spires so far.

There is so much to do in this city that you will not spend one fleeting moment in boredom. Make sure you visit the Old Town Hall and its well known Prague Astronomical Clock, the Jewish Quarter, Gothic Charles Bridge and Church of St. Nicholas among other well-known attractions.

    Vienna

Vienna seems to be straight out of a fairytale storybook owing to the Baroque architecture, imperial palaces and an overwhelming display of the artistic and musical wealth that the city beholds.

Every travel enthusiast dreams of sitting in an open-air Viennese coffee house and looking at the cultural scenes that pass by. In fact, their fine living also extends to their dining, which is evident in their pubs, opulent restaurants, dishes and cakes.

People always seem to talk about the attractions that are present in these cities but one aspect often ignored is the exciting rail journey that one takes to travel from one destination to the next.

For instance, the route from Prague to Vienna is one of stunning vistas that won’t let you shut your eyes even for a minute in the 3 hours.
