Affordable, Yet Stylish Pieces of Furniture That is Perfect for a Small Foyer

Published: Nov 24, 2019 · Modified: Mar 18, 2023 by Jennifer · This post may contain affiliate links · Leave a Comment

Your foyer is the first thing that creates a strong impression on your guests. If you happen to be a furniture lover, then you probably know that an Instagram worthy home has nothing to do with its size. But even the most organized homes tend to have a cluttered entryway, with shoes and other items taking up most of the space, which makes the area seem less inviting and cozy. It is never too late though to add some interior that reflects your style and add a welcoming vibe to your house.

Affordable, Yet Stylish Pieces of Furniture That is Perfect for a Small Foyer

Adding furniture to your foyer can be both functional and stylish. If you want to set the stage for your home and impress visitors, then you’re in luck because we have gathered ideas for affordable yet stylish décor ideas for small foyers that will blow you away.

    Add an Oversized Mirror

Mirrors tend to make rooms look brighter and add an illusion of space to small homes. An oversized mirror is bound to amplify natural light. When your space is limited, a round mirror will make a statement. You can hang it above a storage bench or a console table for a better look.

Add a Hall or Console Table

This a functional and chic piece of décor that you can add to your small foyer. A hall or a console table will create a faux entryway for those who barely have space in their homes. We love the upscale, stylish look from European Leather Gallery. You can style your hall table by adding lamps, placing flowers, using jars and vases, and placing framed photos.

    Add Storage That Looks Attractive

Foyer storage ideas are endless, but you might want to go for a minimalistic design since your space is small and it is better to avoid clutter. For a multi-purpose storage piece, you can turn a bookcase into a locker where you can place keys, bags, and shawls. If you happen to own a console, you can place baskets to store your items. You can also label your coat rack, providing an aura of neatness and organization.

    Add Some Lighting

If your foyer has windows, then you are lucky since natural light gives off a welcoming vibe and makes spaces look larger than they actually are. If not, then there are plenty of ideas for adding light that can do the trick. A good lighting plan can involve a beautiful pendant at a focal point, along with a table lamp that offers soft ambient light. You can also opt for trendy wall lights, to add some warmth to your place.

    Add a Bench or Chair

This is ideal for your guests to sit on, but it is also a great piece of furniture for chic and luxe designs. A corner chair or bench will define the space rather than keep it as a place that visitors quickly pass through. With a table, a rug, a plant, and good light, your seating area will be a nice place to walk into. For those who have a no-shoe rule in their home, a bench is a great place to change footwear, especially if you have children or you normally expect a number of guests. Think of all the times you’d have to stop teetering and awkwardly leaning on the wall every time you walk into your house!

    Add a Patterned Rug

Because patterned rugs are so trendy right now, adding one will make your entryway look classier than ever. They add visual interest to your space and do so well at hiding the dirt. A white rug might look like a dream, but it is not practical for your home and will end up being a nightmare. Patterned rugs now look more aesthetic than normal, plain rugs. Make sure you go for one that fits your space.

    Add a Plant Stand

We love this one and think it fits every home. No matter big or small your foyer is, a plant stand can always find its way to your entryway. A few plants will brighten up your home with some greenery, giving it a cozier and earthier look. It feels really pleasant to have a home that reflects warmth and style.

We all want our guests to be impressed, and, more importantly, we want to feel good about the place we’re walking into. So, don’t treat your small foyer as a place you have to get through to see the rest of your home. Add some stylish designs with this list for a better impact.
