The nice part about staying at the Bridgetown Hilton in Barbados is that Needham's Point Beach is right outside your door.

While the Hilton Barbados Resort itself is a lovely property with an amazing staff, the main attraction is the location! One of the prettiest beaches in the area is located right outside its doors, and you'd be a fool not to book a room with an ocean view.

Want to go body surfing? Just grab your board and walk outside...

The sea is welcoming, the waters are warm and the sand feels like sugar between your toes.

Want to do a little exploring? Hilton Barbados Resort was built on the site of Fort Charles, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The walls of Fort Charles are preserved, and you can even see the canons up close!

If you're lucky, you'll catch a few crabs scuttling about on the rocks. Just be careful and don't get too close - they pinch!

Take a walk along the beach and you just might find the skeleton of a sea urchin washed up on shore...

There is a lifeguard stand on the beach, but still be wary of the current.

The waves are strong and consistent, which is what makes the area so popular for body surfing!
