As part of its Discovery at SEA Program, in partnership with Discovery™, Princess Cruises has officially kicked off an entire summer of Shark Week with a variety of events, promotions, themed culinary offerings and exclusive on-board festivities all surrounding Shark Week. I know that I can't be the only one who's super excited about A SHARK WEEK celebration on board a cruise ship, right? Angeline and I have been obsessed with Shark Week ever since I can remember...so much so, that we went cage diving with Great Whites while in South Africa a few years ago! Yes. I am THAT mom.

Did you know that 2018 marks the 30th anniversary of Shark Week on the Discovery Channel? As a partner with Discovery Channel, Caribbean Princess is going ALL OUT to celebrate! I recently attended a media event to get a feel for the program, and while I am clearly not a child...I had a blast! Especially meeting the mascot, Chompy!
Guests sailing on Caribbean Princess sailings from June through September out of Fort Lauderdale will experience a fully immersive experience honoring these magnificent sea creatures. Cruisers will be greeted with a myriad of Shark Week themed experiences, featuring designed public spaces including elevators, restaurants and casino tables all celebrating 30 years of Shark Week.
Guests onboard will also get to view the exclusive 2018 programming of Shark Week content available on Princess Cruises in June, prior to it airing on the Discovery Channel during Shark Week starting July 22.
Children and teens will have shark-themed fun in the newly redesigned teen and youth centers - Camp Discovery.
Kids ages 3 – 17 can turn into their favorite shark type with glitter tattoos, shark face painting or create arts and crafts to take home, including shark teeth jewelry and shark clay models.
Yes, I got a shark glitter tattoo....how could I not?
And for you adults, specialty cocktails have also been carefully curated on-board including a Shark Attack Margarita and the tropical Great Blue Shark.
