Without question, Miami is the place to be if you're looking for fun in the sun. Exploring the plethora of beaches in The Magic City or frolicking in the waves of the Atlantic Ocean are some of the simpler joys in life. Miami is notorious for it's nightlife, romantic beaches, and sunshine. Day or night, there's always something going on and there's something for everyone to enjoy. If you're looking for something fun to do, look no further. These activities are perfect for anybody who desires a more intimate experience in The Magic City.

    Strolling Along Lincoln Road

Lincoln Road is famous in Miami for being home to all sorts of cafes, shops, and theaters. You can stop for a specialty cup of java and peruse a local bookstore. Several establishments await your appetite or to quench your thirst. There's even an arts district that includes the Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater, where you can catch live music and comedic acts. The New World Center frequently hosts outdoor movie screenings where you can pack up your beach carts with big wheels full of goodies to catch a flick projected onto a 7,000 square foot wall.

    Just Beachin' It

No trip to Miami is complete without a visit to the beach, of course. There's 35 miles of breathtaking beaches just waiting for you to explore them. South Beach, Sunny Isles Beach, and Key Biscayne are some of the most popular sand, sun, and fun destinations in all of Miami. A visit to Homestead Bayfront Park Beach is in order if you're looking for something relatively "away from it all".

    Head Out to Little Havana

Another must-see in Miami is Little Havana. A stroll down Calle Ocho offers a variety of experiences, all that pay homage to the Cuban roots of the area. This is an excellent area to grab a bite of authentic Cuban cuisine and take a date out dancing. There's also street vendors selling all types of unique wares which are certain to make for a great story back home. Enjoy a cup of Cuban coffee and challenge one of the locals to a game of dominos; if you're feeling lucky.

    Live Music, Miami Style

Every year, Miami hosts the Canaval on the Mile outdoor music festival. The Kiwanis of Little Havana, a local charity that supports youth programs in the area, is the beneficiary of the annual event. Visitors of all ages are welcome to experience Latin, jazz, and funk music acts, entertainment perfect for children, and get a taste of gourmet food throughout the festival. Carnaval on the Mile lasts two days and spans three sponsored stages. A whole section of the festival is specifically dedicated to showcasing art. This local music fest attracts more than 120,000 people annually.
