K1 Speed Indoor Racing Comes to Miami

I attended the grand opening of K1 Speed in Miami as a complimentary guest.

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be 6 inches off the ground, rocketing along on an electric powered creation reaching speeds of up to 45 miles per hour with a hairpin turn quickly approaching?  No?  You poor thing!  I have.

    K1 Speed Miami

Ever since I can remember, I’ve had an appetite for all things fast.  I blame my dad; he’s a motorhead who can name the car by the sound of the exhaust.  However, there are these things called “Laws” that prohibit the exhibition of power and extinguish the desire to go really fast.  That’s where K1 Indoor Kart Racing comes into play.

Technology is awesome.  Gone are the days of attaching a lawn mower engine to a metal frame with wheels and letting it rip.  K1 has state-of-the-art electric powered Karts that are capable of generating 20 horse power and speeds up to 45 miles per hour.  Let me tell you, that’s fast.

    K1 Speed Indoor Racing Miami

So, what do you do with all this speed and power? You race your friends of course!  K1 provides the indoor course that pits your against 7 or your closest friends (or competitors) for 14 laps of high speed battle.  Even if you don’t pass someone, K1 is smart enough to keep track of your lap times for each lap.

At the end of the 14 lap grudge match, you can compare lap times and then revel in your victory, or, hang your head in shame and vow a rematch.

Either way, you’re sure to have a great time whether it’s with friends from work or with your family.

K2 Speed Indoor Racing in Miami

I will be going back.  The staff is very polite and very helpful.  They take the time to ensure you are safe by assisting with your helmet, should you need assistance.  They inform you of the rules of the track and the meaning of each of the different flags.  Then, when you’re done, they help you to pit row and show you the safe way off the track.

The facility in Miami also offers party rooms which can be used for work related “Team Building” events.  Talk about getting everyone involved!

With options like that and safety a big concern, there’s no other way have more indoor fun.  You have to go!

This looks super fun! I haven't been in a while but they have these at Boomers outdoors. This place is much nicer and safer! My boyfriend has been bugging me to do something like this so I will keep this in mind for his birthday coming up!

I love that it is indoors. But then again, in Miami it probably has to be to be bearable in the summer heat and humidity. Looks like you guys had tons of fun!

This looks fun AND it's not overly expensive! My father-in-law would love this.

I'd probably be drawn to the dark chocolate bars, as well. So many benefits with dark chocolate! I have a lot of various tasks during my work day. I'm always trying to take short breaks, but I also try to squeeze in my workout mid-day. I don't have time before work (generally) and I'm too tired at the end of the day. Lunch hour is perfect for me.

This sounds like INSANE fun! We live in such a rural area, we don't get many places like this around. As good as it gets is during the county fair. Between car races and bumper cars. Haha!

I am a wimp! I guess that I would be standing on the sidelines on this one.
