    No matter where you’re from in the world, whether you’re from the States or further afield, you absolutely must visit Georgia at some point in your life. While the European country of Georgia is a great place to see, the state of Georgia is a fantastic place to visit.

    Whether you love culture and history, a bustling city life, or stunning natural landscapes, Georgia has so much to offer. So, where can you start?

    Where to Stay in Georgia

    When you want to spend time in Georgia, it makes a lot of sense to stay in Atlanta. As the capital city of Georgia, Atlanta features a busy nightlife and plenty of things to do during the day. You can go shopping, see museums, and explore some of the city's sights and attractions. 

    Even better, Atlanta has great transport links, so it’s one of the most convenient places to stay if you want to travel to different places. You can stay in hotel suites in Atlanta for a luxurious vacation and still get plenty of exploring done. 

    The Food in Georgia

    Georgia is considered part of the deep south, which means that it features some of the best food that America has to offer. Southern soul food is something that's best experienced in the deep south, and you'll never be the same again once you've tried it. 

    Make sure that you try a variety of soul food and some amazing barbecue. While a lot of southern states have their specialty, Atlanta features some of the best fried chicken, cornbread, and black eyed peas in the United States. 

    The Music Scene in Georgia

    Georgia isn't just known for great food. It's also home to some of the most famous and prestigious musicians of the 20th century. 

    Georgia is especially known for its soul music scene, and you'll also find some amazing jazz and blues music that hail from Georgia. Make sure that you find some live music while you visit so you can truly soak in the experience of this amazing music. 

    You can also explore the culture and history of music in Georgia by visiting museums focusing on this time period. People like James Brown and Ma Rainey who defined genres were born and made amazing music in Georgia.

    Natural Sights in Georgia

    As well as having plenty to offer in the cities, Georgia is a stunning state. It features a wide variety of different landscapes and views, so there's truly something for everyone. 

    If you want to be by the sea, the Atlantic ocean dominates the entire eastern border of Georgia. You can also find rivers, mountains, plains, and forests in Georgia. This means that if you like outdoor activities, you can enjoy so many options of things to do and places to explore. 

    Georgia can get pretty hot in summer, so if you want to have an active vacation, it's worth coming in the spring when the weather is milder and the flowers are starting to bloom. This way, you can enjoy a comfortable temperature and stay safe, while also appreciating the beauty of the Georgian spring.
