9 Tips for Finding Your Style

Published: Mar 23, 2020 · Modified: Oct 4, 2021 by Jennifer · This post may contain affiliate links · Leave a Comment

If it’s been a while since you’ve looked in the mirror and thought, “I look amazing,” it’s probably time to figure out what your style is. When we have to work every day or go to class, it can be easy to let go of your flare.

9 Tips for Finding Your Style

Don’t worry; you’re certainly not the only one. Many people struggle to identify their personal style. If you’re ready to make the change and determine what will make you stand out and wow the crowd, read on. In this article, we’ll go over nine tips for finding a wardrobe as beautiful as you.

    Identify Your Fashion Icons

Sure, social media can burst anyone’s self-confidence bubble, but it’s also an excellent tool for finding inspiration. Check out your favorite stars, models, and influencers and save the posts that make you excited.

While you might think that it’s impossible to achieve their look without fame and riches, reconsider. You actually may find some pieces that are equally as fashionable without having to break the bank.

    Invest in Some Accessories

Find some minimal accessories that can go with any outfit, but make sure that they’re excellent quality. If you rock a luxury watch, handbag, or shoes, it will shine even when the rest of your clothes don’t.

Remember What Makes You Feel Great

On those days where you get an extra amount of compliments, take a picture of what you’re wearing so you can go back to it as a reference. These outfits probably epitomize your personal style and can serve as future inspiration.

9 Tips for Finding Your Style

    Choose a Uniform

Pick one outfit that you love that you can use as a go-to on any occasion. Sure, you don’t want to repeat too often, but having a trusty business-casual dress or pantsuit will make it so much easier on the days that you’re feeling uninspired.

    Take Note of What’s Comfortable

If you feel like your clothes are too tight or too itchy, you won’t feel confident no matter how much money you spent. Make sure that whatever your style is, you feel good when wearing it. If you feel self-conscious, it isn’t the style for you.

9 Tips for Finding Your Style

Throw Out the Odd Ones Out

Go through your closet and have a fashion show for yourself. Keep the outfits that make you fall in love when you look in the mirror. If you have boring pieces that are ugly but cozy, keep them for lounging at home.

    What Suits Your Body

A lot of people buy clothes for the body type that they wish they had, instead of what they’re dealing with now. This isn’t great for your style. You want to make sure that you invest in pieces that suit your physique as it is.

    Splurge on a Statement Piece

It’s nice to save money, but sometimes it’s worth a splurge. Treat yourself and invest in one statement item that you love, no matter the price. Whether this is a blazer, shoes, or a versatile dress, get something that makes you feel hot and powerful.

    Tie Outfits Together

When you start to shop spring summer selection at your favorite store, try to find items that you’ll be able to wear all year long. Layering is a great way to switch up your look, and you won’t be letting your favorite items waste away in the closet.

9 Tips for Finding Your Style

    In Conclusion: Be Yourself

Trust your instincts, and be you. After all, you’re beautiful and impressive! Be confident, no matter what the status quo is. If you’re more of a tough-girl, don’t go for floral clothes just because they’re this season’s fashion. Embrace your inner-being and refine it, don’t fight it.
