8 Easy Ways to Look Younger

Published: Apr 19, 2021 · Modified: Apr 19, 2021 by Jennifer · This post may contain affiliate links · Leave a Comment

Almost every woman on the planet wants to look younger. If this weren’t true, the cosmetic industry wouldn’t be worth hundreds of billions of dollars. Nowadays, there are beauty products, treatments, and surgeries that are meant to make you look younger. It seems that turning back the clock is an expensive project, but it really doesn’t have to be. With the following tricks, you can look and feel your best, without breaking the bank.

8 Easy Ways to Look Younger

    Avoid cream foundation

With age, our skin gets drier. Therefore, you should avoid cream foundations that are packed with pigment (which is basically powder). However, if you are in love with the coverage creamy formula provides, apply a moisturizer beforehand.

     Try beauty products with collagen

Unfortunately, as we age the production of collagen slows down, and as a result our skin loses its elasticity and we get wrinkles. Since we cannot count on our bodies to produce the level of collagen we need to look young, we need to turn to outside sources. Nowadays, there are so many amazing products with collagen that are free of harmful additives and were not tested on animals, such as COQ10 Facial Toner from Herbal Dynamics Beauty. Tone down your eye makeup

If you have noticed that your eyelids are getting saggy and puffy, you are not imagining it. Unfortunately, this is another side effect of aging we don’t look forward to. If you wish to look younger, avoid applying a ton of eyeshadow, or otherwise you will achieve a dense, cakey look that doesn’t look good. Instead, apply a thin layer of a primer and then use flattering shadows that will open up your eyes and make them look bigger.

    Curl your eyelashes

Flat or droopy eyelashes can make you look older, so make sure you curl them before you put mascara on. This way you will instantly look more energetic and glamorous, not to mention younger.

    Be gentle

Your skin is way more delicate than it was in your 20s, so you should be gentle when taking your makeup off. If you tug your skin and pull it, this can only increase sagging, especially around the eyes. Therefore, use great cleansing balms to remove mascara and eyeshadow with a minimal amount of tugging.

    Get highlights

Since it casts shadows on your face, dark hair can draw attention to your wrinkles and make you look older. Therefore, go two to three shades lighter or opt for highlights around your face.

    Experiment with bangs

Bangs can be your best friend since they make everyone look younger and can cover those annoying wrinkles on your forehead. Just look at Monica Bellucci and follow the steps of the prettiest Bond girl. However, don’t cut them by yourself. Instead, ask a professional to do it, or otherwise you won’t be able to leave your home without hairpins or at least a hat for weeks.

Pay attention to what you eat

Since vitamin C boost the production of collagen, load up on fruits and veggies that are packed with it. For example, bell peppers and strawberries are a good option. In addition, make sure you eat fish, especially salmon, at least once a week. Fish is rich in omega-3 fatty acids that reduce inflammation and keep your skin healthy and glowing.  Another thing you should have on your plate is leafy greens. These veggies have carotene compounds lutein and zeaxanthin, that protect and hydrate skin cells. Whether you will put them in smoothies, eat them in a salad or make tasty side dishes is entirely up to you. Another thing great for your skin is mango. This fruit is loaded with beta-carotene and can delay the appearance of wrinkles.

With some tricks and some healthy lifestyle choices, you turn back the clock and hide your true age.
