4 Easy Ways to Drink More Water

Published: Jan 7, 2018 · Modified: Mar 12, 2018 by Jennifer · This post may contain affiliate links · Leave a Comment

Water is essential for the body to survive. 70% of the human body is made up of water. The various functions of water in the body include facilitating digestion, respiration, excretion, brain functions, circulation, and heat regulation. Water also plays a crucial role in metabolism, by reducing the feeling of hunger, among other things. For a healthy body, you need to eat well and do workouts. It goes without saying that you also need to drink sufficient amounts of water. To supplement all these, consider taking nandrolone fenilpropionato, an anabolic steroid that enhances bodybuilding through gain of lean muscle mass.

It is important to stay hydrated all day long, but some people find this difficult to do. Some dislike the taste, or rather, complain that it is tasteless. Others have busy schedules and forget to drink enough water. You may come up with many other reasons preventing you from drinking enough water. The following are some proven strategies that can help boost your intake of water.

Work out a strategy to help you drink water

If you are one of those who is always busy with every minute packed, it is easy to see why you could forget to drink water. Here are some simple strategies that you could put in place to help you drink water with ease, even with your busy schedule:

Start off your day with 8 ounces of water.

Drink some tea for your breakfast. Tea, decaffeinated and herbal, contributes to your daily water intake. So sip on a cuppa to increase your water intake.

Set up reminders on your computer and cellphone to remind you to drink some water every hour. Aim for 8 ounces of water each time the alarm goes off. At the end of an eight-hour working day, you will have taken 8 rounds of 8 ounces of water. This adds up to 64 ounces, or 2 liters.

    Improve the texture of water

Maybe you prefer the texture of sparkling water to plain water. When buying bottled sparkling water, be keen to avoid those brands with added sugar. Alternatively, consider investing in a seltzer machine that makes carbonated water. The machines usually come with sugary flavor enhancers. However, ensure you just take plain water, possibly with a simple additive such as a squeezed lemon or lime.

Play around with the flavor of water

If you find flavorless and find little motivation to take it, check out the following ways of enhancing the flavor any artificial flavors or sugar:

Squeeze your favorite citrus fruit such as lemon, orange, or tangerine or lime into the water. Consider adding fresh juice from other fruits like grapes to improve the taste with natural sugars.

Make mint-flavored water by adding some mint leaves at the bottom of your glass water. Stir the water before drinking. This circulates essential oils from the mint, giving water a refreshing taste, while providing the body with a dose of energy.

Experiment with temperatures of your drinking water

Carry out some simple experiments with water temperatures as follows:

    Warm it.

Hot or warm beverages such as tea are preferred during cold times. Go for some herbal or green tea which has the added benefits of the providing the body with anti-inflammatory and immune-enhancing compounds.

    Do it cold

Ice cold water is a great morale booster during workouts. It refreshes, and at the same time cools the body when the body temperature is on the rise. Place a water bottle in the freezer for an hour before starting your workouts, or add some ice cubes to your water in the bottle.

    Conclusion

It is possible to improve your water intake by adopting some small tricks – altering the flavor, varying the temperature, planning, and keeping water nearby.
