Cupid's Trash Cookies for Valentine's Day

  • 2-1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3/4 cup crushed potato chips plus more for topping
  • 3/4 cup crushed pretzels plus more for topping
  • 1-1/4 cup chocolate chips plus more for topping
  • 1/2 cup valentine sprinkles plus more for topping

  1. Preheat oven to 350 and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt and mix well. Set aside.
  3. Beat butter and sugars together with a mixer until creamy, about 5 minutes. Add egg and vanilla and beat well. Beat in flour mixture just until combined. Add potato chips, pretzels, chocolate chips and sprinkles and mix in.
  4. Use a 2 tablespoon portion scoop to scoop batter onto prepared baking sheet. Tuck a few pieces of potato chip, crushed pretzels and chocolate chips in to the cookies. Sprinkle with additional sprinkles. Bake for 12-14 minutes or until light brown.
  5. Remove from oven and let set to cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes. Remove from baking sheet and continue to cool on a cooling rack.
