Preheat oven to 350 and spray a 9x13 pan with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
Add sugars and butter to a mixing bowl and beat well until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until combined. Add flour and salt snd beat until combined. Fold in candy. If desired, reserve a few pieces of candy to press into the top after baking.
Bake for 32-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. When finished baking, gently press remaining candies into the top. The top is crusty but candies will gently break the crust and press into the cookie. Let cool completely before cutting into 24 bars.
