Cupid's Trash Can Cookies

These sweet, salty, amazing little Cupid's Trash Can Cookies for Valentine's Day were adapted from a Santa's Trash Can Cookies recipe!

Ingredients

  • 2-¼ cup all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • ¾ cup crushed potato chips plus more for topping
  • ¾ cup crushed pretzels plus more for topping
  • 1-¼ cup chocolate chips plus more for topping
  • ½ cup valentine sprinkles plus more for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt and mix well. Set aside.
  • Beat butter and sugars together with a mixer until creamy, about 5 minutes. Add egg and vanilla and beat well. Beat in flour mixture just until combined. Add potato chips, pretzels, chocolate chips and sprinkles and mix in.
  • Use a 2 tablespoon portion scoop to scoop batter onto prepared baking sheet. Tuck a few pieces of potato chip, crushed pretzels and chocolate chips in to the cookies. Sprinkle with additional sprinkles. Bake for 12-14 minutes or until light brown.
  • Remove from oven and let set to cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes. Remove from baking sheet and continue to cool on a cooling rack.
